It’s even tougher to argue that watching that 500 pound billfish you just landed getting reeled in isn’t the coolest thing ever. From the salon of your sport fishing yacht to the tip of your bass boat, VideoRay is perfect for checking out the action at your favorite fishing holes. VideoRay is perfect for a night of entertaining on your luxury yacht. Send down the VideoRay to get a glimpse of the reef or the local …

How many people does it take to build a luxury yacht?

My Business Plan asked:

Designer
engineers
fiberglass craftsmen
fiberglass manufacturers
upholsterers
welders
metal workers
painters
machinists
mechanics
electronics manufacturers
electronics installers
sales people
insurance people
facilities workers
dock workers
crews to run and maintain the ship

Yeah, its a great idea to eliminate thaose big bonuses. We don’t need them filthy rich people. We don’t need them stinkin rich bastards buying luxury yachts and luxury automobiles or luxury jets or luxury homes.
They should all be freaking dirt poor. How dare they strive to make make money and then spend it on things we build and maintain. How dare those dirty sons a bitches do that to us.
We should all be equal. So all you bastards with those nice pickup trucks and hummers and BMW’s, you all better get rid of them and get a hyundai elantra and be like the rest of us, you dirty rotten rich *** bastards!!!!!!!!!!! Go to hell, all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m mad as hell. who do you think you are?

Not really, but we need to start thinking about how much money these people spend, and how much we need to have wealthy people to help the rest of us survive. Really we do.

Has anyone heard about the Pirate seizure off the coast of Somilia?

Kiddelhopper IS now Gone asked:

Seems that they seized someones luxury yacht that is crewed by 33 crewmen (big yacht), and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on ways to prevent this from happening again to anyone that decides to sail those waters.

If it was my yacht, I would be sure to have a professional crew on board, ex naval personnel and at least three 50 cal weapons to discourage pirates from attacking my ship, even under mayday stress calls.

Put on your thinking caps people and lets see if we can come up with a workable solution to this very deadly problem that has been happening for many years.

Thank you for your support
Justhetr: Keep in mind that when you own any type of ocean yacht and its flagged, and your sailing in waters such as this yacht was sailing in, you are entitled to keep weapons on your vessel for your own protection, International Maritime Laws apply here.
If I spend $30M for a ship, you can bet your bottom dollar that I will also properly equipt it with the necessary firepower to provide my vessel and crew with the proper protections. Google this law and read about what you can and can not do under International Laws of the High Seas
Piracy on the high seas is a hanging offense
Ms. Ciaran P: Outstanding answer
why don’t the authorities send a decoy vessel into the hot zone and wait for the pirates to try and seize it, then a quick call to the naval forces would put a screeching halt to further attacks on ships and eliminate the pirates?

These pirates probably put out a distress call which any ship in the area has got to respond to by law, then once the vessel has responed, the pirates get on board the vessel and then seize it. I hope when they catch these crooks they apply international maritime laws to them and stretch their necks by hanging them for piracy on the high seas.

Christopher S asked:

I wanted to be a captain for a cruise ship but that probably wont happen, so instead I want to be a Yacht captain, what schooling/ licenses are needed to become one? I would like to captain a yacht about 200ft in length (motor, non sail) , nothing more than that.
