Make a mold and melt down the chocolate and pour it in. i used to do things like this as a teen when I worked at a mall candy store.

They used to show how you could melt chocolate and then blow up a balloon and make sure it’s clean. Dip the balloon in the melted chocolate and then set on a tray to harden. Once hardened, pop the balloon and carefully peel it off. If you make more than one dip (dip once, let set up, then dip again), you could probably trim to what you need.

    Good luck!!

Go to Wilton.com. They have many chocolate candy molds, plus instructions.

Well if you want something that looks “professional” I would suggest tempering some chocolate, then I would probably use a piece of acetate or a couple of pieces of acetate to form the shape you are looking for. It’s usually best to spread a thin layer of chocolate on the acetate first, then shape it into your desired shape. For example if you wanted a teardrop you could spread some tempered chocolate over a strip of acetate, then clip the two ends together with a paper clip. Tempering the chocolate is going to give you a nice sheen, a nice snap when you break the chocolate and a very smooth texture. Good directions for tempereing: Used method 2 for easiest method. NOTE: Make sure when you are molding chocolate the mold is on the outside of the chocolate. Chocolate contracts as it cools and it will be very hard to remove if it is on the outside of the mold. (Except for cases like the balloon, which can easily be popped and removed)
    Good luck!

If you want to do a ship, do just what everyone is suggesting but with a boat.

Go to the store and buy a toy boat, one that will fit the fruits you want it to hold.

Then put it in the dishwasher to disinfect it. See first if it can hold that high heat if it can’t wash it by hand with the hottest water and soap that you can.

Melt and temper the chocolate and then paint it on the bottom of the boat working your way up the sides. Go for the outside shape and not anything super fancy.

Put it in the fridge to harden and when it does, it will separate from the toy and you will have your boat!

OR take the boat apart, and then pour the chocolate into the bottom part of the boat, so this way it’s just the bottom vessel portion and when it hardens, it will come right out and it will be MUCH thicker than what you could’ve painted on yourself.

It’s worth trying and it can’t hurt. Go to the dollar store and get a boat, clean it up and try it. Worst thing that can happen is you’re right where you are now. At least you tried and I DO think it will work if you take the boat apart and pour the chocolate in the bottom, let it set and then take it out. Just be VERY careful with it when removing it from the plastic.

I’m NOT sure if this will work but this is what pros do when they want to make a mold in the shape of something. They make a template or find something to use as a template and they go for it!

You could also check with Wilton.com like the previous poster mentioned and see if they have any templates that you can use. I would do that first and if you can’t find anything at all, get creative and do it yourself! At least you can say you tried and it may work!

Otherwise, you can make a bowl, which is just the same thing, painting the chocolate around a balloon or object and letting it run down. Why not try it with a toy boat?

Good luck and I hope it works!
